For the sale of products to consumers Castelijn & Beerens depends on department stores and retail shops. The new site had to create a positive brand experience for customers and retailer environments to seduce consumers to buy products at retail outlets. The website now also informs on where to buy products.
Furthermore Castelijn & Beerens wants to enlarge the share of online orders placed by its retailers. To do so, the online ordering process for retailers was made more user-friendly and usability is now a key feature. Also, the ordering process is connected with the back office systems to optimize internal processes.
Technicall challenge
Site content was mostly created automatically. For this pusrpose custom Sitecore application was developed. It helps to import products information to Sitecore from customer back end system data sheets. As a result business data along with hundreds of user accounts goes online rapidly.
