While Eastern Europe currently accounts for a small share of the global IT outsourcing market, it is already an outsourcing hot spot and a favorite location. Over 400 IT companies have discovered and leveraged the highly skilled pool of talent in Belarus.

According to CIO Insight "Global outsourcing report" Belarus will take 8th place in global IT outsourcing market in 2015 thanks to its competitive position in the overall outsourcing market based on such factors as population growth, GDP growth, labor supply and IT expertise (being one of the most technologically advanced countries in Eastern Europe). The country's strength is rooted in its mature technical infrastructure and reputable educational system inherited from Soviet times when Belarus used to manufacture over 50 percent of the computers and computer components in the former USSR. Geographical and cultural proximity to the EU is also important.
